I started in CCIE in 2022 after transitioning from a Program Advisor role at Valencia College. Prior to starting my career in higher education, I was working as a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern doing both agency and private practice work. I never thought I would utilize my counseling degree to work in higher education, but I have truly found a passion in utilizing those skills in my role as an Academic Advisor. I also maintained my career in the mental health field as I hold a license as a Mental Health Counselor and have my own private practice where I see clients. Through both of my careers, I find it central to my calling to help others pursue their passions and discover their strengths. I am glad to be able to do that here in CCIE!

On a personal level, you could say I am a Florida native (I moved down from Massachusetts/Connecticut when I was a baby). I am also married with a daughter who keeps me on my toes! I truly enjoy quality time with friends and family, traveling, and discovering different places and cultures. I also enjoy podcasts on self-development (big surprise there) as well as Rom-Com’s and game nights (board/card games). Corny jokes are one of my love languages. Oh, and I love coffee! Nothing like a nice iced coffee with white mocha and oat milk to brighten my day.
