Overview

This program is for subject matter experts in any field or industry who wish to become Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers, corporate trainers and managers, or CTE curriculum specialists. Our students include adults with years of work experience as well as traditional students with a passion about a subject. In this program, students learn the skills necessary to transfer their knowledge to their future students. Because of the program’s practical approach, there is a seamless transition from our online classes to applied work environments.

The Career and Technical Education (BS) may be completed fully online, although not all elective options or program prerequisites may be offered online. Newly admitted students choosing to complete this program exclusively via UCF Online classes may enroll with a reduction in campus-based fees.

Workforce Training and Development Track

The Workforce Training and Development track will prepare students to facilitate employment training, continuing education programs and career readiness skill workshops. Coursework in this program will focus on development of engaging lessons, teaching strategies, effective assessments and adult-centered instructional methods.
